Hope Home Ministry is located in Brownwood, Texas and was opened in 2008 when God placed a vision in our hearts to provide a safe home for girls who are trapped in the cycle of poverty, abuse and addiction. We desire to help young women break free from the bondage that holds them back in their lives and to equip them to become mature, responsible adults.
We strive to accomplish this by sharing the truth of Christ’s love in a safe home environment while teaching life-skills and encouraging positive decision making. Young women who wish to participate in the program must have a desire to change and to make a better future for themselves while learning to lead a Christ-like lifestyle. They must also agree to follow all house rules and the daily schedule of the duration of their stay.
Some of the things our program offers are:
- Safe Home Environment
- Christian Counseling
- Life-Skills Training
- Individual Goal Planning
- Daily Bible Study
- Budget Planning
- One-on-One Mentoring
- Recreation and Service Opportunities
- Church Involvement
- Mentor Families Program
- Personal Accountability
- Continued Support after Transitioning Out
The program that girls work through while they are in the home is called “Milestones” and consists of six goal levels. This program is designed to help residents take the steps they need to reach their personal goals and strengthen their relationships with God at the same time. It deals with areas such as budget planning, Bible study, community service, personal integrity, motivation, employment, and school. With each step the girls earn more freedoms. This program is a system of accountability meant to help residents transition smoothly into the next phase of life, and to help them break negative cycles so they can have a better future.
